Need a summer street fest to remember? How about one with free drinks and food samples, street entertainers and some of the hottest local bands? Even better, it’s a Yelper party open to elites and non-elites alike!
That’s right. We’re closing off two square blocks in the heart of midtown for Yelp’s Too Hot To Handle, sponsored in part by RADIO 94.7 and Sacramento Magazine. We’ll be celebrating the newly formed Handle District, a vibrant and eclectic mix of 25 eating and drinking establishments.
Our celebration includes everything you’d want on hand for a street party on a steamy late-summer afternoon, including food and desserts from restaurants like Zocalo, Paesanos, Yogurtagogo and (JUST ADDED!) Buckhorn Grill, Mangia, The Rind, Suite 50 and Aioli Bodega Espanol; draft beer from Victoria, Modelo and Negra Modelo, cider from Crispin Cider and wine options from Domino. The hard stuff will also flow, with separate booths serving up mixers of Milagro Tequila, Stoli vodka and Sailor Jerry rum. Not a drinker? Try Kombucha drinks from Kombucha Kulture or caramel candies from 3D Candies.
Visit our large main stage provided by Stage, Lights & Sound, where we’ll have a special guest host, multiple Sacramento bands including The Nibblers, Horseneck, Lite Brite and MAXXX!
As if that weren’t enough, we’ll have massages by Bassil Kamas, Jacklyn Benjamin of The Sanctuary Salon and Donniese White, gourmet food advice from Cuisine Noir Magazine, hip fashions from Gypsy Mobile Boutique, and roaming local models body-painted through the artistry of Alana Dill and Emily Loen. Additional, much needed essentials come to us on behalf of Area Restroom Solutions and L&M Rental Fence.
There will be no shortage of Kodak moments either, as Pink Shutter PhotoBooths will provide multiple stations for you to remember how insanely happy you looked. Melissa Uroff and PureAddict will also be roaming the crowd, so check your teeth for cilantro!
Afterwards, we encourage everyone to continue their buzz with dinner or cocktails at one of the numerous local restaurants or bars.
It’s free to enter, but a minimum suggested donation of $10 will go to benefit Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary! Remember to bring cash!
