Celebration is Chick-fil-A’s largest, single-day customer appreciation event
Get your cow costumes ready – Chick-fil-A is celebrating its 14thannual Cow Appreciation Day on Tuesday, July 10. On that day, any customer who visits their local restaurant dressed as a cow will receive a free entrée (excluding salads) at Chick-fil-A’s more than 2,200 restaurants nationwide.
Adult customers who dress in any type of cow attire will be rewarded with a free Chick-fil-A entrée, such as an Original Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Nuggets or breakfast favorite, the Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit. Children will receive a free Kid’s Meal for dressing in a cow costume.
The Cow Appreciation Day celebration will last from restaurant opening through 7 p.m. local time, so guests can visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner (check local store listings for individual store hours). To prepare for the day, customers can visit www.CowAppreciationDay.com for a full list of redeemable menu items and cow costume inspiration.
Fans also can share pictures of their costumes on social media by using the hashtag #CowAppreciationDay. Additionally, all free-standing Chick-fil-A restaurants will have an active Cow Appreciation Day Snapchat filter that will allow guests to share their experience with friends and family. Chick-fil-A began celebrating Cow Appreciation Day in 2005 and participation has grown each year, as the chain has expanded across the country. Last year, more than 1.8 million free entrees were given to cow-dressed customers.
“Every year, we’re thrilled with the number of customers who come out and celebrate Cow Appreciation Day with us,” said Jon Bridges, Chick-fil-A’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “It’s a great opportunity for guests to celebrate by exploring our menu – whether they want to try a newer menu item they haven’t tasted before or go with a classic like our Original Chicken Sandwich or Chicken Biscuit.”
This year’s Cow Appreciation Day marks the 23rd anniversary of Chick-fil-A’s award-winning marketing campaign. In addition to the clever roadside billboards that made them famous, the Eat Mor Chikin Cows make an appearance in Chick-fil-A’s merchandise, point-of-purchase materials, promotions and advertising campaigns.
