<p>Crafted by winemaker John Clark, 10SPAN is sourced from select cool-climate vineyards along California’s Central Coast, showcasing the best of Monterey and Santa Barbara. The region is rife with distinct microclimates, which result from cool breezes that form from the Pacific Ocean and play along the coastal mountains. Such an environment cultivates a long growing season that enables slow, even ripening and allows select grape varietals to thrive.</p>

<p>“I have a strong passion for crafting fine wines from California’s premiere coastal winemaking region,” said Clark. “I hope to share the best single varietals sourced from these distinct microclimates with 10SPAN wines, while introducing new experiences for wine lovers to enjoy.</p>
<p><strong>The Inspiration behind 10SPAN</strong></p>
<p>The inspiration behind 10SPAN wines comes from the California condor, the largest flying bird in North America that soars above California’s coastline. According to Clark, “My passion for the Central Coast region extends beyond winemaking, and I’m very excited about our mission of supporting efforts to preserve the California condor – giant, majestic birds that are a symbol of this gorgeous coastline and call it home.” With the purchase of 10SPAN wines, a portion of proceeds will benefit the <a href="http://www.ventanaws.org" target="_blank">Ventana Wildlife Society</a> and its efforts to reintroduce the California condor back into the wild.</p>
<p>“We’re so grateful for the support of 10SPAN in bringing such an important cause to light to a broader audience,” said Kelly Sorenson, executive director for Ventana Wildlife Society. “For more than 15 years, Ventana has been working to return the California condor to its habitat. We are thankful more consumers will be able to support Ventana directly, while at the same time enjoying fine wine from this beautiful region.”</p>

<p><strong> 10SPAN Pinot Gris</strong></p>
<p>10SPAN Pinot Gris comes from the Rava Black Jack Vineyard, located in the heart of Monterey County, and benefits from the region’s cool ocean breezes. 10SPAN Pinot Gris is fermented in 100 percent stainless steel tanks and undergoes 30 percent malolactic fermentation, which delivers a bright, clean and smooth palate at the entry as well as weight in the mid-palate. On the nose, scents of ripe apple and cantaloupe overwhelm the senses. The bouquet is perfumed with vibrant notes of apricot and honeysuckle.</p>
<p><strong> 10SPAN Chardonnay</strong></p>
<p>10SPAN Chardonnay is sourced from Santa Maria Valley’s Sierra Madre Farms and Riverbench Vineyards. 10SPAN Chardonnay is 100 percent barrel aged for up to six months using a combination of Burgundy French oak barrels and American aroma barrels. Half of the wine goes through malolactic fermentation. On the nose, bright citrus aromas are accented by fresh meringue with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the essence of Sierra Madre’s unique fruit shines through: rich, mouth-filling flavors of crisp citrus with a delicate, balanced pear finish. 10SPAN’s natural acidity will allow this wine to age gracefully and improve for an exceptionally long period.</p>

<p>10SPAN Pinot Noir is grown in the Santa Maria Valley’s Garey Ranch Vineyard and Riverbench Ranch Vineyard, prime sites for producing world-class Pinot Noir due to its close proximity to the Pacific Ocean’s cool breezes. 10SPAN Pinot Noir is 100 percent barrel-aged for 10 months in new and old French oak. Sexy, high-pitched aromas of red berries and fresh flowers are complemented by Asian spice notes that add complexity. <p>To bring the campaign to life, Manzanita Sol enlisted world-renowned percussionist, Rafael Padilla, and international flautist, Pedro Eustache, to create the music for the brand&#8217;s award-winning TV commercial using only Manzanita Sol bottles, caps and straws, showcasing a truly creative and unique production technique.</p>

Women will also be able to experience the delicious and nutritious rewards from LUNA vending machines at events taking place in New York, Chicago, Austin, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego (see below for a full schedule).</p>
<p>“We’re flipping the typical perception of vending machine snack food on its head,” said Rosa Compean, LUNA brand director. “LUNA is encouraging women to feed their strength and that starts by making healthier choices that add to their overall workplace wellness.”</p>
<p>The contest will be open from May 1, 2013 through June 30, 2013. Two lucky winners of the “Feed Your Strength…at Work!” contest will be awarded the opportunity to host a LUNA vending machine at their place of employment, filled with complimentary LUNA bars and featuring a touch screen display that gives nutrition tips and guidance on snacking positively throughout the day, as well as six consultation sessions led by registered dietitian and nutrition strategist for LUNA, Tara DelloIacono Thies and her expert team.</p>
<p><span id="more-11559"></span></p>
<p>“Often when hunger strikes, women grab for whatever is convenient with little consideration for its nutritional value,” said DelloIacono Thies. “Packed schedules and stress at the office can lead to a pattern of making impulsive and unhealthy nutritional choices. By carving out a few minutes for a proper break – and a nutritious snack – women can maintain energy levels to get them through their busy days in a more positive manner.”</p>
<p>“Feed Your Strength…at Work!” is a part of LUNA’s larger Feed Your Strength campaign which kicked off earlier this year with the LUNA webisode series, “Debunking the Diet” which tackles common diet myths and provides women with sound, relatable nutrition advice. The webisodes can be viewed on the LUNA YouTube page.</p>
<p>To enter the “Feed Your Strength…at Work!” contest, participants will be prompted to post photos and descriptions showcasing the healthy changes they are making in their workplace to www.Facebook.com/luna. Kicking off in Houston on May 21, Voyages will also travel to Austin, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia.</p>
<p>&#8220;Voyages Into The Unusual&#8221; will give the curious and cavalier the opportunity to interact with the world as Hendrick&#8217;s sees it while allowing them to sample specially-crafted Hendrick&#8217;s cocktails. The unique setting in each city will be transformed into a highly unusual Shoppe of Curiosities outfitted with a grand Explorer&#8217;s Lounge and a full-scale Apothecary Shop.</p>

<p>Guests will be entertained all night as they voyage into the unusual with a cast of characters including: a botanist that demystified the eleven botanicals found within the Hendrick&#8217;s bottle, a chemist that takes guests into the Apothecary Shop, and music interspersed throughout by the eclectic band, White Ghost Shivers, along with other unexpected surprises. An array of tipples will be served, from the signature Hendrick&#8217;s &amp; Tonic to more complex creations such as the &#8220;Traveling Punch,&#8221; which will be modified to reflect the best local and seasonal ingredients each city has to offer.</p>
<p>&#8220;Hendrick&#8217;s is not for everyone.
