CHICKENS MAY CONTAIN ARSENIC
The FDA said that in its study of 100 chickens, those that ate feed with an ingredient called Roxarsone showed higher levels of inorganic arsenic in their livers compared to chickens that were not given the feed ingredient. The FDA, however, said that the arsenic amount is too small to harm people who consume the affected chickens. Pfizer, which makes the feed ingredient, said it will pull the ingredient from the U.S. market. (ProChef SmartBrief).  Read more…

1000 DRINKS, ONE HOUR
New York City-based bartender Sheldon Wiley mixed 1,003 drinks in an hour to break the Guinness World Record. Wiley used four ingredients in each drink, including dozens of fresh fruit juices and eight flavors of vodka. (ProChef SmartBrief).  Read more…

WOLFGANG PUCK STARTS WINE LABEL
Wolfgang Puck has launched Wolfgang Puck Wines in partnership with Delicato Family Vineyards, with bottles priced between $30 and $35 because “everyone should be able to have good wine at an affordable price.” For each bottle sold, he is donating 50 cents to the Keep Memory Alive Association, which supports research for neurocognitive disorders.
