Bronx Night Market returns with its biggest and best festival yet to make the season even more unforgettable. The free open-air market scene will continue its mission to support small businesses, micro-businesses, and artisanal creators while adding new food & merchant vendors, visual artists, and new local performances. Foodies can indulge in some of the city’s tastiest bites while listening to live music performances and watching dancers take center stage at this all-encompassing event that everyone in the family will enjoy. The Bronx Night Market will return to Fordham Plaza starting with opening day on Saturday, April 30th, from 1 PM to 7 PM.
Bronx Night Market produced by MASC Hospitality Group is tripling down to support the growth of underrepresented small businesses in NYC’s landscape, through economic empowerment, community development, and cultural expression and inclusion. With over 70% of vendors who classify themselves as micro-, small-, POC-, immigrant-, LGBTQIA+-, and female-owned businesses the monthly event series will feature an exciting lineup of new local food favorites and signature acts to continue celebrating everything the borough has to offer.
Food concepts and international cuisines are a major attraction at the Bronx Night Market. New Yorkers can expect to find exciting food concepts as well as fan-favorites from Bel-Fries, HangryDog, Perros Locos, StrEat Kings, La Braza, and The Bronx Burger Company; Cupcake Me!, Twister Cakes, Cuzin’s Duzin Corp, Sam’s Fried Ice Cream, and Chiwaffles to name just a few.
Artisanal creators and merchants are without a doubt, what gives the Bronx Night Market its character. Patrons can find everything from apparel, self-care, and jewelry to skillful arts & crafts vendors throughout the entire season. This year’s lineup will include merchant vendors such as Hot Damn Sauce, ForTheCultureNY LLC, Be The People, Pop Pins NYC, Moon Sage & Soul, Belgique Boutique LLC, and My Bath Bar, along with many more merchants to shop from.
In light of another successful season of celebrating food, art, and culture, Marco Shalma, the founder of the Bronx Night Market and CEO of MASC Hospitality Group, shared; “Starting our 5th official season of the Bronx Night Market makes me so happy and proud, this is where it all started, and this is where our heart is.” Marco continued, “We look forward to bringing amazing food, arts & culture, and incredible performances to our community, supporting our small businesses, and showcasing Bronx excellence. This year is going to be epic!!!”
To complement the wealth of established food and merchant vendors, the Bronx Night Market welcomes Harlem Late Night Jazz, a partnership that extends beyond the Bronx Night Market. The incredible organization will curate rotating performances celebrating Harlem’s jazz and blues history with R&B classics. City Love NYC, an organization dedicated to fostering the creative spirit of NYC, will be joining this year’s robust roster of performances. The event series will also see appearances from Clean Money Music who will bring with them their talents in modernizing classic hip hop using clean lyrics only. Bringing their professional music classes to you, Bronx Arts Ensemble will take the stage as part of a multi-sensory experience designed to engage audiences while they enjoy a bite and a drink. Professional choreographer, Theresa Lavington will get the crowd moving as she takes on the stage to teach patrons exciting new dance moves. And to top it off, they’ll be joined by a closing performance from DJ Cosi, whose eclectic set dials up the BPM turning the venue into a giant dance floor. It will be an unforgettable night for both foodies and music lovers alike.
Event producers thank the ongoing collaborations from Fordham Road BID, Fordham U, and Bronx Eats. With the support from local organizations, community members, and leaders, the female-operated team is making cultural festivals more accessible to neighborhoods in the borough. The producers will work with these organizations to enhance the economic development throughout the Bronx. The continuous affiliations from some of NYC’s hardworking community members will provide an opportunity to increase commerce, marketing, and economic growth for creators and entrepreneurs.
The team at the Bronx Night Market thanks the support of Vanessa Gibson, the Bronx Borough President. She stated, “The Bronx has some of the best and most diverse food in the world, and the Bronx Night Market has given residents and visitors alike a chance to explore the different flavors of our borough. I am excited for another season of good food and fun with friends and neighbors while supporting our local small businesses, mom and pop shops, and entrepreneurs who help shape our neighborhoods’ unique character!”
